- Manage a growing team in Brazil consisting of software developers and QA engineers.
- Be your team’s biggest ally – listen to and understand team needs, help solve bottlenecks, define ideal working processes and organization – anything to help empower your team to reach their goals.
- Provide technical guidance and oversee architectural design, project planning, and execution of software initiatives from start to finish.
- Serve as a continuously available resource to help solve technical problems and react to unforeseen challenges, working with outside teams such as product management, UX, etc. along the way.
- Assist in the creation of user stories, technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and help track and maintain them throughout the development process.
- Mentor team on engineering best practices including planning, code quality and standards, testing strategies, documentation, etc.
- Be hands on! You should be willing and excited to help write code when necessary to help ensure project success.
- Strong experience of experience in developing enterprise scale data applications.
- Demonstrated growth in technical leadership including project management, team leadership, or equivalent. You do not have to have been a team lead before, but you should have experience beyond that of an individual contributor.
- Sound knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as Object-Oriented Design Principles, Data Structures, Algorithms, Database, Operating Systems.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and deploying software at large scale with production quality.
- Strong professional hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript or similar.
- Comfortable resolving complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues.
- Willingness to expand your skills beyond your own core functional focus and work on necessary tasks for the benefit of the team.
- Advanced knowledge of development processes and product standards with continued effort to learn and adapt as tooling and technology changes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in english.
- Good understanding of deployment environments, configuration of applications and change management principles.
