- KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage and direct activities of the general accounting department including financial reporting, balance sheet management and reconciliation, inter/intra-company accounting, and compiling consolidated financial statements.
- Instill and maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts for all companies.
- Ensure internal control policies and procedures are adequate by continually assessing existing policies and implementing new policies where applicable.
- Oversee updating the monthly Board of Directors' reporting package.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP throughout all companies.
- Provide assistance for internal and external audits when needed.
- Act as the main point of contact for external audit scheduling and preparation.
- Review and approve monthly financial statements for all companies.
- Assist the business unit Controllers/analysts throughout the annual budgeting process.
- Work with the corporate department leaders to complete annual budgets and compile all data for final review.
- Perform financial analysis as needed to support potential solutions and decisions.
- Provide analysis and recommendations as it relates to M&A activity for the Board of Directors and Owners.
- Ensure the Tax Department completes accurately and timely all required corporate, state, and local tax filings.
- Assist the Accounts Receivable and Credit function by reviewing credit applications, collections, and bad debt write-offs.
- KEY QUALIFICATIONSExcellent knowledge of GAAP and current accounting regulations and internal controls.

- Overnight travel may be required.
- Work Environment: Candidate must be located in Antofagasta, Chile, Belo Horizonte, Brazil, or Lima, Peru.
