Strategic Leadership
o Lead and execute comprehensive communications strategies for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios in Brazil
o Serve as strategic advisor to senior business leaders, providing counsel on communications and business decisions
o Drive the strategic narrative for corporate initiatives, content releases and product, technology and innovation narrativesBrand & Corporate Communications
o Develop and maintain crisis management protocols and reputation management strategies
o Lead proactive brand communications initiatives to strengthen Prime Video's position in the Brazilian market
o Develop and execute launch strategies for new features, products, and service innovations
o Create compelling narratives that resonate with Brazilian audiences while aligning with global messagingContent Communications
o Oversee communications campaigns for Original series, films, live sports, and licensed content, including supporting local activity for biggest global OriginalsStakeholder Management
o Hold and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders, including production partners and talent
o Maximize established relationships with top-tier journalists and media outlets across entertainment, business, and technology sectors to secure high-impact coverage and amplify Prime Video messaging
o Collaborate closely with regional and global teams to ensure alignment of communications strategies
o Partner with local production companies and creative talent to maximize visibility of Brazilian contentDepartment Leadership
o Lead, mentor, and develop a team of communications professionals
o Oversee external agency relationships and partnerships
o Manage communications budget and resources effectively
o Foster a culture of creativity, agility, and excellence while serving as a key member of the region's Comms senior leadership teamBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of communications experience, with significant experience in entertainment, media, or technology sectors
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Experience leading communications campaigns in Brazil
- Network of media and industry contacts
- Written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese
- Crisis management experience
- People management experience
- Deep understanding of the Brazilian media landscape and entertainment industry
- Collaborative team player with a strong bias for action
- Upholds high standards for work and results
- Knowledgeable about what's going on in the media, social media and on the industry and combine those areas for maximum PR benefit
- Ability to be both strategic yet handle execution
