- Defining and Implementing Comprehensive Applications: The core mission is to create and put into action a complete enterprise application strategy. This strategy centers on SAP and its connected "Satellite Systems" (systems that integrate with SAP via interfaces).
- Expanding SAP Across ACIM: A key goal is to broaden the use and importance of these SAP systems across all parts of the ACIM business unit. This means ensuring SAP becomes a fundamental tool throughout the entire organization.
- Strategic and Tactical Guidance: The role involves advising business management teams on IT strategy. This includes both high-level strategic planning and practical, day-to-day guidance, specifically related to SAP and its integrations with other systems.
- Ensuring IT-Business Alignment: This position is responsible for making sure that IT strategies closely match the strategic business plans of each area within ACIM. This ensures that IT efforts support the larger goals of the business.
- Driving Results and Objectives: The manager recommends, implements, and supports IT initiatives that directly lead to achieving business objectives. IT is not just a support function but a driver of business success.
- Delivering Effective AMS (Application Management Services): Ensuring high-quality IT application management services is a key part of the mission. This means proactive maintenance, support, and optimization of SAP systems.
- Addressing Application and System Issues: The role is crucial for identifying and resolving any problems that arise with SAP and related systems. This includes providing expert advice on solutions.
- Overseeing Integration and Standardization: The manager oversees the integration of various systems with SAP and works to standardize processes across the business unit. This improves efficiency and reduces complexity.
- Safeguarding System Integrity: Protecting the integrity of SAP systems and their interfaces is a critical responsibility. This ensures data accuracy and system reliability.
- Supporting SAP Strategy Development: The role plays an active part in creating and refining the IT strategy for SAP within ACIM. This means staying ahead of technology trends and business needs.
- Ensuring Strategy Adaptability: The IT strategy must be adaptable and forward-thinking. This ensures that it continues to meet the changing requirements of the business over time.
- Prioritize IT projects, upgrades and deployments strategically by evaluating business impact, aligning with organizational goals, and addressing objectives. Conduct thorough resource assessment to optimize allocation, maximize ROI, and minimize operational disruption. Implement a clear methodology with risk assessment, feasibility studies, and stakeholder input for informed decisions and successful project execution.
- Accountability for the financial management of Global IT CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) and OPEX (Operational Expenditure) budgets allocated to the development, implementation, enhancement, and ongoing support of SAP solutions. This encompasses financial planning, budget allocation, cost control, and the optimization of resource utilization to achieve maximum value and return on investment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a closely related field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Advanced degrees or certifications are highly valued.
- Expertise in Applications Management, with a specific focus on SAP systems. Deep and practical experience with both ECC (ERP Central Component) and S/4HANA environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SAP modules such as Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Production Planning (PP) is essential.
- Experience in managing IT teams, setting objectives, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering team development is required.
- Strong capabilities in Project and Program management, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery within budget. Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools is essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT applications architecture, including system design, integration, and deployment strategies. Ability to align IT applications with business objectives and ensure scalability, security, and reliability.
