All positions are CLT.You can learn more about InComm Payments by visiting our or connecting with us on , , , , or .About This OpportunityThe QA Automation Engineer is responsible for supporting multiple teams in aggressive Agile environments, providing leadership and mentoring for the quality engineering team and delivering automated testing scripts. The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for maintaining quality strategies, methodologies, industry standard best practices, and validation methods for all supported systems (Front end and Back end) within dev, test, UAT, and production environments. High level testing buckets will traverse numerous SDLC components and features such as performance, load, mobile and compliance standards. The QA Automation Engineer ensures that that work adheres to the highest standards with a focus on continuous improvement and increased productivity for the team.
Responsibilities
  • Automate the regression test scenarios across multiple applications (frontend/customer facing and backend components)
  • Participate in testing efforts on a cross-functional product team in an agile environment
  • Contribute to an established automation framework by adding UI and API automated tests
  • Become an expert in how InComm systems operate
  • Assess risks and orchestrate appropriate test coverage to mitigate risks
  • Collaborate on a tight-knit agile team; participate in daily stand-ups, estimating/planning, and retrospectives
  • Investigate and clearly report issues
  • Support developers, product teams, and customer-facing teams with troubleshooting assistance
  • Examine failures and facilitate continuous improvement efforts within and across teams
  • Provide value wherever possible, be driven to get things done
  • Establish processes and standards for the quality team to drive productivity and quality of work
  • Mentor more junior engineers in technical challenges, software architecture, and best practices
  • Create Proofs-of-concept for new technologies, patterns, etc.
  • ·dentify new and/or upgraded tools
  • Collaborate to create and implement a technical roadmap
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance including automation and QA team leadership
  • 5+ years of software quality assurance experience supporting both white and black box validations within a web-based multi-tiered environment
  • Core Skillsets: Java, Selenium, Junit, REST
  • Experience with the full lifecycle of software development including Object Oriented Programming and Design.
  • Experience with programming languages relevant to ecommerce platforms.
  • Experience with BrowserStack or other device simulators
  • Ability to decompose complex systems and discover the most important issues quickly
  • Experience-based understanding of nuances of QA in an agile environment
  • Driven for continuous improvement in yourself and your team
  • Methodical, focused, disciplined; you don’t drop the ball
  • Communicate well and work effectively with your team
