You will support and drive the technical and architectural decisions for your product team. You value simplicity and are willing to challenge technical constraints and procedures to achieve robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions. You will be the visionary force behind the technical solutions and are responsible for planning and developing the architectural runway in collaboration with the VGCS global architecture forum. We are now looking for a Solution Architect within VGCS Latin America, Transport Solutions.You will work in close collaboration together with the development team, Product Owners, User Experience designers, Front and Back-End Developers and Business Analysts. You will be responsible to drive the technical and architectural activities within different initiatives and coordinate the overall solution regarding the architectural deliverables.
- Design the overall technological architecture of the Transport Solutions products
- Be part and/or lead pre-studies on features for future business opportunities to determine and shape integrations that will be used in the years to come
- Ensuring that business and user needs are combined with solid technical solution
- Taking the role as a leader within your competence area and act as a mentor
- Identify and remove technical impediments, in collaboration with the Digital Channels Architects forum and VGCS Enterprise
- Architects
- Provide the teams with policies and guidelines regarding software engineering practices to ensure stability, scalability, and performance
- Act as an enabler of Agile and DevSecOps practices in collaboration with product and support teams Code, bring you passion and skills to the rest of the team
- A University degree in software engineering, computer science or similar education
- Minimum 5-Years’ Experience as Solution Architect
- Practical experience of integration architecture incl. API gateways and APIs (REST, graphQL)
- Knowledge in asynchronous programming, micro service architecture, AWS managed service like Amazon SNS, Amazon SQS, AWS lambda
- Strong interest in process improvements and ability to create structure
- A team player with a great sense of owner mentality
- A curious and innovative mindset
- Experience of digital channels or fleet management systems is a plus
- Experience from mobile (connected) applications is also a great advantage
- Good communication skills for management and team communication
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
