- Lead the design and implementation of hybrid IT architectures integrating mainframe, distributed systems, and cloud platforms.
- Develop and execute modernization strategies including rehost, refactor, replatform, and replace approaches.
- Enable legacy systems through APIs (e.g., z/OS Connect) and facilitate secure, scalable integration with modern platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess current infrastructure and define future-state architecture.
- Evaluate and recommend tools and vendors for mainframe modernization initiatives.
- Ensure robust security and governance across hybrid environments, including encrypted data exchange and secure API design.
- Advanced English level
- Deep expertise in z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, RACF security.
- Understanding of mainframe subsystems: CICS, IMS, DB2, MQ, VSAM.
- Familiarity with legacy development ecosystems: COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, REXX.
- Strong knowledge of batch and online processing flows.
- Experience with mainframe-to-cloud migration approaches:
- Rehost (lift-and-shift), Refactor, Replatform, Replace.
- Designing hybrid architectures (mainframe + distributed + cloud).
- API enablement of legacy systems (z/OS Connect, API Gateway).
- Legacy data modernization: VSAM → relational/NoSQL (DB2 LUW, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud) in hybrid IT.
- Familiarity with mainframe emulators (Micro Focus Enterprise Server, TmaxSoft OpenFrame, etc.).
- Modern SCM tools (GitHub/GitLab, Bitbucket) alongside ChangeMan/Endevor.
- Strong grasp of mainframe security (RACF/ACF2/Top Secret).
- Designing secure APIs and encrypted data exchange across hybrid platforms.
- Building roadmaps for legacy modernization.
- Vendor/tool evaluation for modernization (IBM, AWS Mainframe Modernization, Azure M2C, Micro Focus, Broadcom).
