Learn more about itTHE OPPORTUNITYWe are hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer for our Wellbeing Access Squad within CIA (our B2B focus area) in Brazil!This is a Remote - Brazil position, meaning you can work from anywhere within the country. Please note that this role is only open to candidates in Portugal.Our primary objective in CIA is to establish and maintain a platform that seamlessly integrates our benefits and services into employees' lives across companies & organizations of different sizes worldwide.
As a key member of the CIA Wellbeing Access Squad, you will be focused on simplifying the employees' signup experience, making the process as seamless, secure, and stress-free as possible for our end-users. This agile team is composed of fellow developers, a product manager, and a UX designer. Together, we collaborate to improve our clients' experience using our product.
You will be expected to develop the tools and the platform that power these objectives while working closely with stakeholders and the other developers. We also count on your unique view on how we evolve the platform technically and business-wise. This role is an excellent opportunity to take your expertise in back-end development to the next level.YOUR IMPACT
- Collaborate to define the architecture of systems and integrations, bring innovation to the table, and make sure design docs are up to date.
- Support existing systems looking to enhance functionality, increase scale, and transform in new ways to meet our product demands;
- Ensure successful deliveries and promote the long-term technical health of our journeys.
- Write maintainable code and tests;
- Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production environment, as well as in writing useful and critical post-mortems.
- Help and mentor other developers
- Ensure high-quality code using best practices such as code review and pair programming.

- Proficient in one or more programming languages (Java/ Kotlin/ Golang/ Typescript/etc.). Golang will be considered a plus.
- A believer in automation (be it tests, CI/CD, or something else entirely);
- Communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams located in several countries with different cultures;
- You have advanced proficiency in English and can get your point across to technical and non-technical people in English.
- Experience in designing and developing modern web applications;
- Being open to new experiences, willing to learn and grow;
- Willing to work within an agile environment meant to be continuously challenged and improved upon;
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience;
