Through our people, leadership development, services, technology and scale, Wabtec delivers better outcomes for global customers by speaking the language of industry.Esta oportunidade é para atuar em regime híbrido em Contagem, MG.Who will you be working with?In this role, you will collaborate with a global cross-functional team as a mechanical drives component engineer supporting concept development, detail design, and validation for electric machines and transmissions.How will you make a difference?You will support concept development, detail design, and validation for Off Highway Vehicles used in the Mining Industry.What do we want to know about you?Engineering degree.At least 5 years experience in mechanical engineering.Preferred - Master of Science degree in mechanical, aerospace, or structural engineering.Experience working with end customers and business leadership.Strong communication and presentation skillset.Experience leading multiple projects and assessing prioritization to achieve milestones.Experience with mechanical structures and seals in mechanical systems.Experience in bolted joint analysis.Experience in design review processes (TGs).Experience in finite element analysis.Experience working in and with 3-D model creation and manipulation.Experience with drawing development and GD&T processes.Experience in mechanical component validation.Experience in writing test plans, executing tests, and interpreting test data.Experience working with a global team.Experience providing shop support and design troubleshooting.What will your typical day look like?Mechanical structure (gearcases, axles, castings, bearing housings) design, analysis, and validation.Fatigue evaluation and life predictions – parent material SN curves, weld evaluation, etc.Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.Support the sourcing function in the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives – vendor qualifications and validation testing.Support factory for equipment build issue resolution & build quality verification.Provide root cause analysis interfacing with leadership and customers.Execute service productivity projects, evaluating performance versus cost trade-offs.#LI-IM1Wabtec Corporation is committed to taking on the world’s toughest challenges.
