
IT Infrastructure Manager

- Lead, mentor, build, and direct the Infrastructure team, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting individual growth through performance management and development plans.
- Develop and implement strategies for managing, optimizing, and scaling Liferay's cloud infrastructure, focusing on AWS and GCP environments, especially the CI systems.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of reliable, performant, and scalable servers, networks, CI/CD infrastructure, and associated systems.
- Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of monitoring, remote management, and automation tools for infrastructure management across AWS, GCP, and on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Engineering, and other departments to engineer IT solutions, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to security best practices.
- Manage infrastructure projects, including system migrations, scaling initiatives, and technology upgrades.
- Oversee Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for infrastructure systems.
- Administer established policies and procedures, contributing to departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural improvements.
- Set performance targets for the team, track progress, and report to senior leadership.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts and principles, including extensive experience with both AWS and GCP cloud platforms, virtualization, networking, and server hardware management.
- Proven experience leading, managing, and building an IT infrastructure team, including personnel decisions and performance management.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic plans for infrastructure scalability, reliability, and security in cloud environments.
- Experience performing complex tasks related to infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner with cross-departmental leaders.
- Experience setting performance targets and reporting progress to leadership.
- Strong experience managing large-scale Continuous Integration (CI/CD) infrastructure and associated tools.
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., AWS, GCP, Networking, ITIL) are a plus.
