The product is Assist.Job DescriptionWhat You’ll LeadWe’re building Assist Chat—a conversational AI that transforms how first responders get the information they need. Fast, reliable, and embedded directly into public safety workflows, Assist Chat is already deployed in 9-1-1 centers, police vehicles, and crime centers. But we’re just getting started.As Tech Lead, you’ll shape the next generation of Assist Chat, leading architecture, scalability, and cross-platform integration for real-time, AI-driven interactions. We’re open to exceptional mid-senior engineers who want to grow into this role.Basic RequirementsWhat We’re Looking ForProven ability to communicate technical information effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with both local and remote teams8+ years of professional software engineering experience.Deep fluency in TypeScript and modern web technologies (Angular, Node, GraphQL preferred).Experience architecting systems that support real-time communication, AI integration, or multi-platform clients.Comfort operating in ambiguous, 0→1 product spaces with customer stakes that are mission-critical.Strong leadership, communication and cross-team collaboration skills, with a bias toward action and clarity.Bonus: familiarity with LLMs, edge deployments, or AI safety and reliability.#LI-WC1Travel Requirements NoneRelocation Provided NonePosition Type ExperiencedReferral Payment Plan YesEEO StatementMotorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
