It's not about what you've done elsewhere; it's all about what you're capable of doing here.The Work You'll Do:DevOps Engineers at Sovos design, develop, and implement infrastructure-as-code and delivery as code methodologies across multiple applications and cloud platforms. They also assist in establishing and improving framework for Continuous Integration, Delivery/Deployment, Infrastructure as Code, and operation of Configuration Management (CM) products and services to the internal technology team.More specifically you will:
  • Designing, building deploying and maintenance of enterprise cloud solutions/Kubernetes by implementing CI/AD pipeline to enable fast, but safe delivery of critical business software to Production.
  • Apply infrastructure-as-code methodologies across configuration, infrastructure, and orchestration stacks using a combination of scripting languages and other automation toolkits.
  • Create, Assist, and Implement design and maintenance by automating web service infrastructure, Kubernetes, and deployments.
  • Building automation tools and components to enhance the installation and provisioning of cloud-based applications in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud providers.
  • Identify processes and capabilities that can be streamlined and automated.
  • Define and implement processes to maintain software products’ configuration and infrastructure servers’ configuration.
  • Maintain applications and tools within the Development team throughout the SDLC.
  • Create documentation following industry standards for process definition and user training purposes.
  • Work within an agile team to develop software solutions and provide guidance of best practices within Configuration Management.
What We Need From You
  • Desire to work in a DevOps/release engineering role.
  • Developing skills in or exposure to the following:
  • Scripting language(s) like Python, Perl, Shell, etc.
  • Build process for one or more languages (C, Java, .Net, etc)
  • Familiarity with private repositories such as GitHub
  • DevOps Engineering/CM best practices
  • Able to work cross functionally across multiple teams.
  • Passion for identifying and solving performance and scalability challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills along with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
