What you'll doJoin us as a Government Strategic Partnerships Manager to oversee key government relationships and revenue streams. Your role will involve identifying products, generating sales, and engaging with various government bodies to drive business growth. As a representative of Viasat at industry events and institutional associations, you will be a key player in expanding our market presence.The main activities will be: * Lead a strategic government partner relationship.
- Drive revenue from key government clients.
- Identify products within the company's portfolio suitable for the market and facilitate sales.
- Cultivate relationships with federal, state, and/or municipal government entities to explore new revenue opportunities.
- Represent Viasat at events, conferences, and trade shows to uncover business prospects.
- Act as Viasat's representative in institutions affiliated with the company.
- Managing Partner Relationships: Regular communication and coordination with the strategic government partner to ensure alignment on objectives and activities.
- Revenue Monitoring: Tracking and managing revenue streams from key government clients, analyzing sales performance, and identifying areas for growth.
- Product Assessment and Sales: Continuously evaluating the company's product portfolio, identifying products suitable for the government market, and actively engaging in sales efforts.
- Government Relationship Building: Establishing and nurturing relationships with government entities at various levels (federal, state, municipal) to explore new business opportunities and revenue streams.
- Event Representation: Representing Viasat at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network, identify potential partnerships, and showcase products and services.
- Institutional Representation: Acting as a representative of Viasat in associations or organizations affiliated with the company to enhance brand visibility and foster collaborations.
- Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategic plans to maximize government partnerships, revenue generation, and market expansion.
- Market Research: Staying informed about government policies, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform business strategies and seize growth opportunities.
- Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams across sales, marketing, and product development to ensure alignment with government partnership objectives and strategies.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, public administration, or a related field. A master's degree could be a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in government affairs, strategic partnerships, or business development, preferably within the government sector. Minimum of 15 years.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of government procurement processes, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Networking Skills: Strong networking abilities to build and maintain relationships with government entities and key stakeholders.
- Sales and Marketing Skills: Effective sales techniques, marketing strategies, and negotiation skills to drive revenue from government clients.
- Team Collaboration: Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel to attend events, meetings, and engage with government entities as required.
- It is essential be to fluent in English.
