- Implement Medison’s Global Compliance Program and ensure alignment with local laws, industry codes, and internal policies.
- Develop and implement local compliance policies and SOPs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry codes in alignment with global policies
- Monitor activities to ensure adherence to Medison global Compliance program and local guidelines
- Work with all relevant business areas to develop and implement corrective actions plans identified through compliance monitoring and auditing activities
- Oversee regulatory and business driven compliance strategy, promoting a culture of compliance based on company’s values and Code of Conduct
- Partner with regional colleagues to maintain and further develop throughout the region a strong culture of compliance, including personal accountability with a spirit of partnership and positive problem solving
- Deliver compliance trainings and education programs for all employees in your region
- Provide guidance on compliance related matters
- Support the implementation and maintenance of affiliate’s transparency reporting requirements and assist business leadership in meeting reporting obligations
- Assist in implementation and execution of regional and local risk based third party due diligence
- Support investigations into allegations of misconduct, as required.
- 4+ years of experience in pharmaceutical compliance, ideally within LATAM markets.
- Possess an exceptional knowledge of pharmaceutical industry laws, guidelines and codes.
- Degree in law, finance, business, or a related discipline
- Experience working with Brazil, Columbia and Argentina is a plus
- Successful track record of building a culture of compliance and ethics.
- Experience dealing with government agencies and other regulatory and/or enforcement bodies.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese is a plus
- Excellent work ethic, organized and able to meet deadlines
- Seeks to develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and managers
- Proactive in helping to identify and implement new or better ways of working
- Experience working in small-to mid-size pharmaceutical companies in the start-up phase is a plus.
