Work Model: In-personMain Activities:
- Ensure that regional packaging requirements are included in innovation briefs and act as the regional packaging lead within innovation teams, ensuring the full and proven implementation of new packaging in the region;
- Manage the packaging supply (production) and manufacturing (filling) base in collaboration with the Supply Chain, considering quality, supplier and third-party selection, and total supply chain costs;
- Develop and implement new packaging components at a regional level for projects outside the scope of the Innovation Development process. Ensure projects and products are delivered according to pre-defined and aligned criteria in the briefs;
- Use and apply appropriate Design for Lean Six Sigma tools in the packaging qualification process, such as FMEAs and Design of Experiments, in cooperation with engineering laboratory teams;
- Ensure that all packaging specifications and drawings are up to date, approved by suppliers, and properly documented in Product Life Cycle Management systems.
- Work with Procurement and Quality Assurance teams to identify cost-saving opportunities for existing packaging;
- Serve as the Packaging R&D expert, working with Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, and Procurement teams to manage the LATAM packaging portfolio.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Packaging and Materials Engineering, or a related field;
- 3 to 5 years of industry experience;
- Knowledge of engineering standards, packaging production, and project management;
- Intermediate level of English and Spanish;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
