- Develop, implement, and periodically review financial and procurement policies, systems and processes, ensuring compliance with Brazilian regulations, audit requirements, and FZS global procedures
- Ensure the organization, accuracy, and compliance of FZSB's accounts
- Work with the team to design and maintain efficient workflows and procedures for good administrative, budgetary and operational management
- Develop and oversee the implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Support the recruitment processes for local and international staff and consultants, ensuring compliance with all legal, taxation, and social security, labour requirements
- Support the annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes for FZSB’s programs, in close collaboration with the Country Coordinator and FZS Germany
- Monitor and close financial execution of activities and projects
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Support the Country Coordinator in managing and maintaining all required insurances, registrations, permits, and operational licenses for FZSB’s continued operation
- Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, or related field
- At least five years of professional experience in administration, accounting, and finance, preferably in complex or multi-project environments
- Sound knowledge of Brazilian HR functions, labour law, taxation and social security regulations
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools and accounting platforms
- Advanced English, ability to collaborate effectively with international colleagues
- Highly detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize, and structure work effectively
- Working experience in Amazon nature conservation projects, with indigenous peoples or in an NGO will be an asset
