The CoM Supplier Quality Auditor Specialist is responsible for conducting supplier and Co-Manufacturer audits across a diverse range of products sourced globally. The CoM Supplier Quality Auditor Specialist is responsible for our highest risk materials and coaching/shadowing Supplier Quality auditors.
These audits aim to verify adherence to BC's Food Safety and Quality standards. Additionally, this role facilitates the closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and oversees Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to maintain or elevate supplier quality.
This role will also support the regions during supplier quality issues.Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct Audits: Execute supplier audits, especially for high-risk and new approvals across global supplier networks. Follow-up audits performed by 3rd party auditors. Involved in more complex audits (higher risks raw materials) or audits covering a broader scope (competitors, customers)
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare detailed audit reports communicating findings and outcomes to both suppliers and BC's internal supplier quality team. Engage in ongoing dialogue with suppliers to close audit gaps through corrective actions.
- Analysis and Improvement: Analyze trends from supplier audits to identify areas for strengthening BC's supplier quality requirements. Collaborate with sourcing and R&D to prioritize audits that align with key business initiatives.
- Support Initiatives: Actively contribute to projects and activities aimed at enhancing supplier performance and reducing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Assist the Regional Supply Chain Performance Management & Supplier Improvement Manager in various improvement endeavors.
- Manages and guides GSQ Auditors in conducting audits including 3rd party auditors and shadowing audit.
- Takes on a leadership role in planning, executing and reporting audit activities. Supporting the regions during supplier quality issues.
- Bachelor's degree Food Science / Bio Science / Chemistry Engineering or equivalent).
- At least 15 years of experience in Quality and Food Safety.
- 5 + years Quality Assurance and Food Safety auditing experience in Food / Pharmaceutical / Feed Environment.
- Advanced English and Spanish are mandatory.
- GFSI certification schemes requirements.
- HACCP and prerequisite programs.
- FSMA, GMP's, Food Safety & Quality requirements.
- Auditing skills - Leading supplier audits, assess the imminent risks and taking decisions. Desirable a formal training and/or experience with implementation (Preferred certification Lead Auditor and/or Food Safety Auditor).
- Pre knowledge on lethality process such as roaster, pasteurizer, and sterilizer is a plus for the position.
- Writing Audit Reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Independent leading profile and taking decision.
- Travel required (Approximately 50 - 60% travel).
