You will also support the Performance team with some specific activities such as back-cast studies, statistical analysis or task automation. Depending on your experience and on the team activity, you may also take part in projects related to turbine inspections or lifetime evaluation.This role is hybrid from São Paulo.Responsibilities:Primary responsibility involves delivering in-depth operational intelligence on wind farm performance, with duties comprising:
- Structuring and performing advanced analysis of high-frequency operational datasets sourced from SCADA systems, fault alarms and event logs, by applying tailored programming such as macros or python codes.
- Interpreting and validating monthly performance reports from Operation & Maintenance contractors, providing data-driven insights for KPI tracking, availability metrics and energy yield assessments.
- Utilizing specialized software and diagnostic tools to process turbine-level and plant-level data. Support analysis of downtimes, wind anomaly, specific losses (environmental, curtailment, operational strategies, electrical, etc), power curves, among other performance indicators.
- Calculating P50 energy production through well stablished methodologies, provide critical analysis of wind data long term series and correlate with performance findings.
- Other duties may include elaborating specific scripts of programming to improve current analysis processes. Analyze technical documentation such as field activities contracts or field inspection reports.
- University degree in a quantitative field (Physical Science, Engineering, Data Science or Statistics, Renewable Energy) from an accredited University or Engineering School
- Experience of 2-3 years in the wind industry
- Proficiency in working with tools using Python and/or MATLAB as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong team spirit and proactive attitude
- Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish will be very appreciated.
- Experience in development or due diligence processes for wind parks, in the technical, environmental, or legal areas.
- Wind turbines field expertise, contact with field works such as general, blades or gearboxes inspections.
- Project management experience or training, PMBOK knowledge.
