- Experience: Proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer, with a background in leading QA efforts or mentoring team members (for Lead-level candidates).
- Proficiency in coding and scripting with hands-on experience building advanced automation frameworks.
- Strong working experience with JavaScript and TypeScript (TypeScript is a must).
- Solid experience with Playwright and/or Cypress.
- Strong experience with API testing.
- Proven experience in creating clear, thorough, and effective test cases and test plans.
- Familiarity with NestJS is a strong plus
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor QA team members, promote QA best practices, and support continuous improvement (for Lead-level candidates)
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Flexibility: Comfortable working evenings to overlap with U.S. Pacific Time and collaborating across time zones.
- Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient automated test scripts for web and backend services.
- Test Case Creation: Analyze business and technical requirements to design and maintain comprehensive manual and automated test cases.
- Leadership & Mentoring (if Lead): Guide and support other QA team members (manual and automation), ensure adherence to best practices, and drive quality initiatives.
- Quality Assurance: Own the defect lifecycle — from discovery to resolution — ensuring high standards of quality across releases.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and US-based teams to align on quality expectations and project timelines.
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps in test coverage, recommend QA process enhancements, and actively contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation for test strategies, test cases, and automation processes.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, Appium, or other similar automation testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
