Find your future with us.Boeing Brazil is seeking Mid-Career Integrated Modular Avionics Engineer reporting to Integrated Modular Avionics Engineering Manager, working out of the São José dos Campos office.The Mid-Career Integrated Modular Avionics Engineer will join the Global Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) team to support the development and certification of transport category airplanes. Participation on development of complex electronic systems, analyzing and translating requirements into system, demonstrating compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements.Responsibilities include translation of concepts and high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications, and the integration of avionics systems and components into our complex airplanes. Work with a worldwide team to implement system hardware and software. Verification of system designs at the component, system and airplane levels. Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and in-service support.Position Responsibilities:
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Works to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Oversees supplier engineering performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs and makes recommendations for potential technology investments.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the engineering and agronomy and regional council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language
Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):
  • Experience with commercial airplane certification, audits and design review activities.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Experience as a system engineer throughout the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Experience with Integrated Modular Avionics and related standards like DO-297 and ARP 4754, ARP 4761.
  • Experience in requirement management tools (DOORS or similar).
  • Experience with Model Based Engineering Design/Analysis using advanced Modelling & Simulation and Tools & Process development.
