
Transportation Expansion Sr Manager, Amazon Transportation Services

- Lead the surface middle mile operation expansion to ensure right linehaul operational design, carriers' pool, technology and strategic expansion to enhance customer experience, safety and sustainability impact in Brazil operations;
- Identify and develop appropriate performance metrics for each program and ensure consistent measurement and accountability.
- Pulling data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and performing ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed; Create new and track existing metrics to detect & remove any defects;
- Continual, strategic/tactical communication with external (Carriers) and internal stakeholders (Fulfillment Centers, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Amazon Logistics) to ensure the right decisions to grow middle mile operation in a sustainable manner;
- Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered;
- Uses expertise and judgment to select stakeholders to determine the right goals, inform decisions, and design long-term solutions for Transportation network operations;
- Work on strategic projects analyzing medium/long-term forecast vs capacity requirements, working to develop strategic capacity with carriers as well as tech roadmap to support business growth;
- Analyze and improve network design in partnership with Supply Chain teams to meet best in class cost and customer experience results;
- Ensure right business metrics are prepared for and participate in regular Operations calls, business reviews, MBRs, etc. Lead strategic documents of ATS area.
- - Advanced Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLookUps);
- - Fluent English, both spoken and written;
- - Complex Program and Project management experience;
- - Experience in Transportation Operations, having managed and/or led complex orgs or programs across Operations;
