- About the OpportunityYou will report to one of the teams Deputy General Counsels.
- You will work closely with all members of the Global Legal team and business leaders throughout the company, but will concentrate on supporting the Latam team, mainly Brazil.
- You will be working from the office two days a week, and may work remotely three days a week.
- The right candidate will have a basic understanding of and enthusiastic belief in the cryptocurrency/digital asset space, 7+ years of experience working for a top law firm or in-house at a fast-paced, brand-name business, and possess strong academic credentials and excellent writing and analytical skills.
- The ideal candidate should also possess experience working on matters pertaining to financial services, cryptocurrency/digital assets, and/or touching upon financial services and securities laws and regulations.
- What Youll Be DoingSupport the business in virtually all legal coverage areas mainly for Brazil and Argentina, but also for other Latam countries, including but not limited to product development, regulatory matters, licensing requirements, contract review and negotiation, litigation cases, marketing/advertisement, assessment of tokens to be listed in Brazil, corporate governance, supervise external counsels, etc.
- Work with the licensing and compliance teams in obtaining licenses, communicating with regulators; Collaborate with product and business development teams to achieve company-wide projects and goals; Manage legal requests from all areas of the business and effectively advise on legal concepts and legal risk with an eye towards the strategic goals of business leaders.
- What We Look For In YouMust possess a law degree from an accredited, top-tier law school and be admitted to practice law in BrazilResident of Brazil7+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal team, preferably in a financial services or crypto industryExperience with regulation from the Central
