We are seeking an experienced and proactive Functional Consultant to join our client’s team in a contract-to-hire capacity. This role focuses on Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) solutions. The consultant will partner with clients to design, configure, and validate scalable, user-centric applications while ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into functional and technical specifications.ResponsibilitiesGather business and functional requirements through workshops, interviews, and documentation review.Design, configure, and optimize solutions using Microsoft Power Platform components:Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven)Power Automate (workflow automation)Power BI (dashboard/report integration and requirements)Dataverse (data modeling and role-based security)Create functional specifications, process flows, wireframes, and user stories.Configure Dynamics 365 CE entities, views, forms, business rules, and workflows.Integrate Power Platform solutions with external systems via connectors, APIs, and Azure intermediaries.Develop and maintain solution documentation, testing artifacts, and release notes.Coordinate and execute functional testing, UAT, and defect resolution.Provide client training, support go-live activities, and conduct post-implementation reviews.Participate in proposal development, demos, and client solutioning.Guide functional architecture and collaborate closely with technical leads on multi-agency workflows, integrations, and data-driven apps.Lead data mapping and transformation between systems, addressing field alignment, transformations, mismatches, and validation of migrated data.Technical RequirementsMust-Have Skills3+ years as a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst working with Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 CE.Hands-on experience designing and configuring Power Apps and Power Automate flows.Strong understanding of Dataverse schema design, entity relationships, and governance models.Familiarity with Power BI requirements gathering and dashboard integration.Experience in QA processes, test planning, execution, and traceability.Proficiency with tools like Azure DevOps or Jira for backlog and test case management.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both business and technical teams.Advanced English proficiency.Desired SkillsMicrosoft Certifications (PL-200, PL-100, PL-900, MB-210).Experience in public sector, nonprofit, or grant-based organizations.Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models.Powered by JazzHR
