- From concept to execution, your role will shape Tractian''s industry-leading technology, ensuring top-tier quality and functionality in every solution we deliver.
- ResponsibilitiesUtilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed models and drawings of components and assemblies.
- Employ CAE tools and techniques to perform FEA simulations, including Moldflow, Fatigue, Thermal, structural, and Modal Analyses.
- Analyze simulation results to evaluate product performance, identify potential issues, and recommend design improvements.
- Collaborate with the design team to optimize product designs for factors such as strength, durability, and thermal performance.
- Provide guidance on material selection based on specs and test results to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Design parts for manufacturing (DFM), understand manufacturer capabilities, and have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, such as machining and plastic injection.
- Prototype and test mechanical designs to validate performance and functionality, iterating as necessary.
- Participate in design reviews to provide valuable insights, feedback, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- RequirementsBachelor''s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in the technology or manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of CAE software tools, such as ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, COMSOL, or similar.
- Strong understanding of mechanics, materials science, and design principles.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, such as machining and plastic injection.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reading and writing proficiency in English.
- Bonus pointsExperience with microcasting and sintering.
- Familiarity with plastic materials.
- Experience in the IoT or industrial equipment sector is advantageous.
