- Functional relationship with equipment inspection coordinator onshore.
- The Equipment Inspector will exhibit high level of knowledge in equipment inspection of boiler, pressure vessels, related systems and accessories. They manage common interfaces that arise in day-to-day operations with the FPSO departmentsâ staff liaising with the Maintenance Superintendent onboard and with the Equipment Inspector Coordinator onshore.
- The Equipment Inspector undertakes regulatory compliance inspections in pressure vessels systems and related instruments / equipments.
- Visitors, subcontractors
- 1) Develop And Maintain Effective Working Relationships
- 1 Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and visitors to the working environment.
- 2 Establish and maintain effective communications with colleagues, external visitors and supervisors.
- 3 Carry out accurate and effective work handovers.
- 2) Works
- 1 Conduct internal and external equipment inspection as well as hydro test as required by the regulation.
- 2 Ensure full compliance with SPIE regulation.
- 3 Keep all inspection and equipments data book updated.
- 4 Produce reports of the equipment inspection and its data book.
- 5 Follow external audits and reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and to the Equipment Inspector Coordinator the status of the audit.
- 6 Coordination of the subcontractors work on board the unit in regard to the SPIE equipments.
- 3) Contribute to The Health and Safety of the Working Environment
- 1 Work area within own responsibility is kept clean and free of hazards.
- 2 Positive action is taken to stop hazards and unsafe behaviors.
- 3 Alarms are raised as appropriate and/or acted upon using applied policies and procedures or initiative.
- 4 All potential and actual incidents are reported to the relevant supervisor.
- 4) Monitor And Maintain Pollution Control Measures
- 1 Unplanned discharges are identified, halted where possible, and reported according to Management System guidelines.
- 2 Equipment, waste or other materials for disposal are segregated properly and dealt with according to the correct procedure.
- 5) Emergency Response
- 1 Carry Out Emergency Response role (See Station Bill).
- 2 Demonstrate competence in Emergency Response drills and exercises.
- Proven experience and/or qualified to Equipment Inspection Course.
- Proven qualification on NDT and welding.
- Experience and knowledge in offshore operation is desirable.
- Computer literate on Management System 'Office' software packages.
- Proficiency in English at a minimum of A2 level according to the CEFR international standard.
- Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
