Role purpose and key responsibilities
  • Manage, coordinate, and plan commercial transactions with foreign countries, companies, or governments.
  • Develop business strategies to ensure company profitability.
  • Plan imports and exports based on each country's trade, customs, and tax regulations.
  • Analyze opportunities and problems detected in the international market.
  • Responsible for documentation and shipping with the Federal Revenue Service.
  • Work with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  • Assist in the purchasing processes of raw materials, consumables, and services in the local market.
  • Perform all bureaucratic purchasing and import processes within the company's management system, including placing orders in the ERP system.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report domestic and import purchasing data.
  • Technically develop new suppliers and participate in the evaluation of raw materials to be developed with these suppliers.
Requirements and qualifications you will need to be successful
  • University degree in Engineering, Economics, International Relations, Foreign Trade, or Business Administration.
  • Specialization/Postgraduate degree (advantage) in Foreign Trade, International Logistics, Foreign Trade Management, International Business, and International Trade.
  • Having worked in foreign trade departments of manufacturers/importers of products regulated by Anvisa, financial institutions, Federal Revenue, government entities, international transport and insurance companies or exchange companies.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange will be a plus.
  • Logical, quick, critical, and analytical reasoning, and ability with numbers.
  • Ease of communication and relationships.
  • IT: Microsoft Office Suite, SAP ERP, TOTVS, Microsiga, and others.
  • Understanding of tax classification, legislation, and tax incentives in Brazil and other countries.
  • Knowledge of international law will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical products and equipment will be a plus.
  • Fluent English, Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment of an international company.
