Apple's Worldwide Developer Relations team (WWDR) provides the services, resources and guidance that empowers the world's most dynamic developer community to push the boundaries of innovation and bring the next big app ideas to Apple's platforms for customers worldwide. WWDR also offers programs to help developers connect with experts, learn about the latest Apple tools and technologies, and adopt best practices to supercharge app development. As part of WWDR, Design and Technology Evangelists inspire and help developers create innovative, intuitive, beautiful, platform-native apps and games through design and technical videos, in-person and online events, workshops, and one-on-one consultations. Evangelists also brief and support developers for demos, and work closely with developers creating cutting-edge experiences for new hardware like Apple Vision Pro. Evangelism team members are key contributors to the planning and delivery of Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) and Developer Center events - including leading the presentation production process, giving detailed slide design feedback, coaching speakers, and managing and staffing design and technology labs. We are seeking a Design Evangelist to join our WWDR team in Brazil. As a Design Evangelist, you'll work closely with developers to help make their apps better and adopt the latest Apple technologies by providing insightful, relevant, and actionable design and technology feedback. This role is all about helping app developers understand how to design and build best-in-class apps and solutions. Applying your experience, creativity, and ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, you'll help developers design apps that are intuitive and delightful. We invite you to join us and help us leave the world better than we found it!DescriptionWork directly with developers to create outstanding apps for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, visionOS and tvOS that exhibit intuitive and compelling design and use key Apple hardware features and frameworks. Meet the creators (designers, developers and product managers) of the apps and offer them suggestions that enhance the overall user experience of their apps. Provide sound advice on a wide range of design matters including layout, typography, information architecture, iconography, gestural behaviors, animation, UX writing, accessibility and more. Produce design content/presentations as part of our workshop events and outreach efforts. Help lead ideation exercises, prototype new concepts for larger Evangelism wide in-house products. Understand and explain Apple's design system to a broad audience including engineers, business leads, executives, and designers with varying degrees of experience working on Apple platforms. Deliver developer presentations on Apple's design concepts effectively and clearly to a developer audience.Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of work experience in technology, of which 3+ years in the field of interaction, visual and/or product design for Apple platforms.
  • Highly proficient with modern design, prototyping and presentation tools such as Sketch, Figma, XD, Keynote, Principle, After Effects or similar tools.
  • In-depth understanding of the Human interface guidelines and app development process.
  • Hands-on experience designing for Apple platforms - iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS and/or tvOS - that have been shipped or in the making.
  • Proficiency in English and Portuguese.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Software Development, Software Design Engineering or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in software engineering/app development, being able to code.
  • An understanding of Apple's technology frameworks for developers.
  • Effective and influential communicator to engage all levels of partners, ranging from designers, software engineers, product managers to business decision-makers.
  • Confirmed public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding collaboration, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels, both internally and externally.
