  • About the role:The Estimate Control Engineer, Master, will be responsible for preparing highly complex budgets and technical proposals for engineering projects in the mining sector.
  • This role involves defining commercial and technical strategies during bidding processes, ensuring the competitiveness and feasibility of proposals.
  • The professional will play a key role in interfacing with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and clients, contributing directly to the success of projects from conception through contract award.
  • Prepare detailed budgets for engineering and construction projects in the mining sector (greenfield and brownfield).
  • Develop technical proposals aligned with client requirements and company standards.
  • Analyze bid documents, terms of reference, and technical specifications, identifying risks, opportunities, and project scope.
  • Define pricing strategies, cost composition, margins, and technical solutions to enhance proposal competitiveness.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, suppliers, and partners for technical and commercial alignment.
  • Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies, proposing cost optimization alternatives.
  • Coordinate quantity surveys, physical-financial schedules, and construction methodologies.
  • Interact with engineering, procurement, legal, HSE (QSMS), and operations teams to ensure proposal consistency.
  • Monitor market trends, benchmarks, and reference costs in the mining sector.
  • Support training and development of junior and mid-level engineers in the proposals team.
  • About you:Bachelor''s degree in Engineering (preferably Civil, Mining, Mechanical, or related fields).
  • Postgraduate degree or MBA in areas such as Project Management, Cost Engineering, or similar (preferred).
  • Solid experience (minimum of 10 years) in cost estimation and technical proposal development in the mining sector.
  • Experience with EPC, EPCM, or integrated contract projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of cost estimation methodologies (CAPEX/OPEX) (preferred).
  • Proficiency in tools such as advanced MS Excel, MS Project.
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic vision, proactivity, and negotiation abilities.
  • Intermediate or advanced English (preferred).
  • Previous experience in engineering companies focused on large-scale mining (a plus).
  • Experience in public and private bids, both national and international (a plus).
  • Familiarity with mining-related standards and regulations in Brazil or Latin America (a plus).
