Requirements: • A degree in Computer, Mechanical, Control Systems, Electronics Engineering or related areas; • Strong experience in the automotive industry with vehicle application, supporting quality and product development; • Experience with vehicle-connected data is a strong differential; • Programming skills in SQL, DAX and Python, and in coding versioning management tools (e.g., Bitbucket and Git); • Experience with analyzing large real-world datasets; • Strong planning skills in cross-functional, data-related activities within both agile and waterfall environments; • Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Power BI; • Strong communication and presentation skills in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written. • A commercial vehicle driver’s license is preferred but not a prerequisite. Activities: • Lead data-related activities in projects involving new powertrain products and services, maintenance tasks and quality issues; • Simply the understanding of complex data and present it in a structured and clear manner within the context of the automotive industry; • Collaborate with data and application engineers to develop data tools that support decision-making; • Analyze and present data in a summarized and visually appealing way; • Perform data mining and analysis using a range of statistical methods, machine learning, and AI models to uncover patterns and trends from existing data sources; • Keep strong communication within engineering and Volvo Groups brands; • Identify and integrate new datasets that can enhance product capabilities, working closely with engineering teams to develop data-driven solutions; • Participate in global Communities of Practices.
