This is a Remote - Brazil position, meaning you can work from anywhere within the country.At the BASE (Business Architecture Services) Focus Area, we build the heart of the Wellhub business model. Our mission is to help Wellhub build a truly scalable platform to support dozens of millions of active users and clients around the world with high availability while being flexible and extensible to incorporate new business models. In this role, you will go beyond testing - you will drive quality across services and teams, mentoring engineers, shaping automation frameworks, and ensuring Wellhub continues to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-centric solutions.As a Q.A. Engineer you will take end-to-end ownership of the quality of the most critical product flows and deliveries. You will be involved from the very beginning of the product lifecycle, helping with the product requirements, defining and building comprehensive test scenarios, performing in-depth exploratory testing, and automating mission-critical flows. Your work will ensure backward compatibility, performance, reliability, and overall product excellence. In addition, you will define and continuously improve the testing pipeline, driving best practices in automated testing and mentoring developers to elevate the team's quality standards.This role combines strong analytical QA expertise with engineering skills in a critical position that delivers meaningful impact across the organization, spanning from overall test planning to execution.YOUR IMPACT
- Lead the design and implementation of test strategies (manual, automated, and exploratory) for complex distributed systems.
- Define and evolve quality standards, frameworks, and processes across multiple services.
- Mentor and guide software engineers, fostering a culture of ownership for quality.
- Partner with product managers and engineering leaders to assess risks, define acceptance criteria, and shape solutions.
- Drive test automation adoption, building scalable frameworks for APIs, backend services, and integrations.
- Champion performance, load, and reliability testing as part of the development lifecycle.
- Ensure quality gates and CI/CD pipelines provide fast, reliable feedback to teams.
- Identify systemic quality issues and propose improvements in architecture, tooling, and processes.
- Act as a quality advocate, ensuring we deliver not just working software, but trusted and delightful experiences to users.

- A QA professional with a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Solid experience in QA Engineering, with a strong background in automation (Cypress, Playwright, Rest-assured, SuperTest, Bruno, Cucumber, Postman, or similar).
- Experienced with API testing (REST/GraphQL) and data validations in SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Familiar with cloud-native environments (AWS/GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred but not required experience in performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Locust, K6) and their application to large-scale systems.
- Experienced in risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and working with distributed systems.
- Solid experience working with distributed systems using asynchronous communication (Kafka)
- Familiar with SQL, being able to navigate complex data domains
- Comfortable leading cross-team initiatives, influencing quality practices, and driving alignment on testing strategies.
- Solid communication skills in English, able to articulate quality goals, trade-offs, and improvements across cultures and geographies.
- A proactive, collaborative problem-solver who sees quality as a shared responsibility across engineering.
- Experience with observability tools (Datadog, NewRelic, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana Loki, or similar).
- Preferred but not required experience with contract testing (Pact, Spring Cloud Contract, Dredd, or similar).
