- Review and assess the current status of accounting books, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with BR GAAP and US GAAP.
- Conduct reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage and complete financial activities including tax filings, month-end close, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, fixed asset audits, and physical inventory requirements.
- Collaborate with management to identify and implement process improvements.
- Develop project plans and lead global finance activities, ensuring successful completion within scope and timelines.
- Provide guidance and leadership to smaller project teams executing tactical initiatives.
- Collaborate with finance and cross-functional stakeholders to develop financial dashboards, global reporting, and analysis (e.g., plan metrics, cost of quality, financial tracking).
- Analyze financial and trend reports, synthesize insights, and present findings and recommendations to management.
- Analyze ROI of expenditures for strategic projects and initiatives.
- Liaise with U.S. corporate finance teams to ensure alignment on reporting and compliance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CRC registration required)
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferable in multinational or healthcare sectors and with management experience included
- Deep understanding of GAAP (local and international), SOX compliance, and financial systems.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide financial leadership to outsourcing partners and collaborate with business unit stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
- Expertise in MS Office Suite, especially advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JDE) and database tools (e.g., QlikView) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with ability to influence and negotiate internally.
- Ability to interact professionally across all organizational levels and escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience representing finance leadership in cross-functional projects and consulting within specific financial areas.
