- Duration: 6 Months (Freelance)Location: Brazil (Remote - must be based in Brazil)Start Date: ASAPKey Responsibilities:Develop and enhance large-scale data processing systems in a distributed environmentDesign and optimize pipelines and metadata modelsBuild and customize Spark internals and contribute to open-source communityCollaborate with cross-functional teams in a fully agile setupDesign Fine Grained Access Control systems for big data platformsMaintain and improve platform performance and scalabilityRequirements:5+ years as a Software Engineer with strong Java expertise (Kotlin is a plus)3+ years building scalable big data infrastructure/platformsSolid experience with Spark, Hadoop, Parquet/ORC, or FlinkStrong OOP and system documentation skillsResults-oriented mindset and proactive communicationFluency in English (Mandatory)Nice to Have:Knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes.
