• Collaborate with developers to ensure that testability is a first-class concern in new features.
• Contribute to strategies for load, integration, system, and performance testing.
• Contribute to building observable systems, incorporating effective logging, monitoring, and alerting practices.
• Promote and enforce the use of logging, metrics, alerts, and tracing to support observable systems that can be easily reasoned about and to find/fix issues quickly.
• Collaborate on continuous integration (CI) improvements to catch issues earlier in the dev lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain modern, modular, type-annotated, Python code Required Technical Skills:Background in Python programming.
• Ability to write and review unit tests (Pytest).
• Experience testing typical JSON REST APIs Conceptual understanding of testing a distributed, eventually consistent web of services.
• Basic understanding of async patterns, including when to leverage asyncio/event loop vs.
• threading vs.
• multiprocessing.
• Celery and async job runner knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient in reading and writing basic SQL queries.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, HTTP requests, and subnetting.
• Familiarity with working within cloud providers (AWS, GCP, OCI)
