- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials and equipment.
- Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
- Maintain inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to support mining activities.
- Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory, monitor stock levels, and generate reports.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, plan for upcoming projects, and allocate resources effectively.
- Address any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, orders, or deliveries in a timely manner.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among warehouse staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or similar role, preferably in the mining or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and logistics processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English (written and verbal) is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
