
LATAM Legal Manager - Labor

- Manage the full labor portfolio, including judicial and administrative proceedings, individual and collective actions, class actions and settlements.
- Provide preventive labor law advisory to internal stakeholders, including HR and management, ensuring compliance with Brazilian and LATAM regulations.
- Actively support programs related to prevention of occupational disease and health & safety matters in collaboration with HR and EHS.
- Monitor and analyze litigation trends, KPIs, and data to identify risks, optimize outcomes, and propose process improvements.
- Manage and oversee external law firms and litigation budgets, ensuring efficiency and accountability.
- Ensure proper use of litigation management systems and accurate reporting of cases and provisions.
- Support regional and global compliance and audit requirements related to labor and employment.
- Represent the Legal Department in negotiations with unions, labor authorities, and the Ministry of Labor or Public Prosecutor’s Office.
- Availability to travel as required to support LATAM operations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law and active license to practice in Brazil.
- Specialization and strong previous experience in Labor Law are mandatory requirements.
- Master’s degree in Labor Law is desirable.
- Solid experience managing judicial and administrative labor proceedings and providing labor law advisory.
- Professional background in multinational companies, preferably in the industrial sector.
- Experience working with data management and process management systems are mandatory.
- Proven ability to manage external law firms and control legal spend.
- Strong business orientation and ability to partner with HR, EHS, and business leaders.
- Fluent in English; Spanish is desirable for broader LATAM scope.
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate across diverse cultures.
- Availability to travel within Latin America.
