Java Application Support Engineer

• We offer:Type Employment: Contractor$22 USD per hourJob Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated Application Support Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in Linux-based environments, Java/Python scripting, and DevOps practices.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of enterprise applications and infrastructure, while working collaboratively within a global support team.
• The embedded FICC roles require candidates to go through an L2 coder pad (primarily debugging) and interviews with AppDev.
• Responsibilities:- Maintain a proactive approach throughout the day, with the ability to analyze, debug, and resolve issues.
• - Develop and enhance the SRE strategy to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the plant.
• - Efficiently escalate issues to the development team, raise incidents, manage impact, and communicate with users and stakeholders.
• - Automate manual processes to improve efficiency.
• - Escalate issues to management on both support and development sides, raise problem tickets, and collaborate with development teams to address issues and drive transformations.
• - Possess a solid understanding of technical concepts and be capable of writing code when necessary.
• - Create documentation, runbooks, and code snippets to resolve issues and share them with the team.
• Key criteria:- Level L2, L3 Application Support experience, preferably in the 6-10 years range.
• - Technical Skills: Unix/Linux, any object-oriented programming experience (Java, C++ etc.
• ), with a good understanding of databases.
• - Proficient in coding and debugging.
• - Strong communication skills.
