Work Hours: PST (Pacific)Job OverviewWe’re helping our client find a Creative Strategist to own creative direction and execution, building and operating a scalable creative system that enables confident paid media scaling and consistent growth. This role is accountable for turning customer insight, performance data, and creative intuition into repeatable, scalable ad performance.Responsibilities
- Full ownership of creative direction and execution across paid media
- Creative angle ideation & validation
- Developing new angles rooted in customer insight and data
- Validating angles through structured testing before scale
- Copy & scripting
- Writing high-performing copy for:
- UGC ads
- VSLs
- Advertorials
- PDP content
- Ensuring message consistency across the funnel
- Creative execution & briefing
- Briefing creators and editors clearly and effectively
- Setting the standard for creative quality and performance
- Performance analysis
- Reviewing ad performance data
- Extracting insights and turning them into actionable creative decisions
- Knowing why something worked — not just that it did
- Creative system ownership
- Owning the creative testing cadence
- Building systems, naming conventions, and processes that scale
- Ensuring learnings are documented and reused
- Scaling the function
- Building and managing a creative team as required
- Hiring, training, and elevating talent as the business scales
- Create concepts, hooks, and scripts for high-performing paid ads
- Build and maintain a creative testing pipeline across all platforms
- Collaborate daily with editors to ensure briefs, scenes, and references are executed correctly
- Use AI tools to source or generate content for ads, including voiceovers, avatars, and B-roll
- Analyse ad performance inside Triple Whale and Atria to identify winners and opportunities
- Iterate on winning ads to extend longevity and scale spend
- Develop angles for new SKUs and product categories
- Maintain creative organisation systems, naming conventions, and asset libraries
- Coordinate with UGC creators to produce new content
- Assist the creative team in identifying creative trends, competitor insights, and new formats to test
- A stable, scalable creative engine that consistently produces winning ads
- We are no longer capped by creative limitations when scaling spend
- There is a clear system for:
- Creative angle ideation
- Validation
- Scaling
- Knowledge transfer across ads, VSLs, PDPs, and advertorials
- Creative performance is predictable, learnings compound, and velocity increases
- You have complete ownership of creative direction and execution
- You are not “supporting” creative — you are accountable for it
- You are expected to collaborate closely with media buyers, but creative strategy is yours
- If creative is the bottleneck, it’s your problem to solve — and your win to own
- 3–7+ years’ experience in creative strategy or paid social creative roles.
- Has been part of a creative team spending over $300k a month on Meta Ads.
- Strong understanding of direct-response creative, hooks, pacing, and conversion psychology.
- Proven track record of developing ads that scale with significant monthly spend.
- Comfortable leading editors and managing creative production.
- Capable of working quickly in a high-volume testing environment.
- Strong analytical mindset — able to interpret performance data and act on it.
- Highly collaborative and comfortable working in a fast paced team environment.
- Experience with AI tools for ideation, scripting, and scene creation.
- Elite direct-response instincts
- Strong analytical thinking — able to read data and make decisions
- Proven copywriting ability (UGC, VSLs, advertorials)
- Deep customer/avatar empathy
- Excellent creative taste and judgement
- High speed of execution

- Ability to build processes and systems
- Leadership capability, including hiring and developing a team
- Background in wellness, lifestyle, or consumer products.
- Experience scaling a D2C brand through paid social.
- Familiarity with Shopify, Triple Whale, and attribution dashboards.
- Experience working with UGC creators and influencer-style content.
- Experience in DTC performance marketing
- Proven experience scaling ad creative, not just testing it
- Comfortable owning outcomes, not just ideas
- Experience working with creators, editors, and media buyers
- Health, wellness, or pain-relief experience is a plus (but not required)
