- Application Deadline: 2 June 2025Department: FinanceLocation: BrazilThe PositionThe overall purpose of the Insurance Manager is to ensure the efficient implementation and supervision of insurance coverage according to FIFA requirements.
- The Insurance Manager will also serve as the local contact for Insurance Brokers.
- All tasks should be conducted in close collaboration with the FIFA Insurance Lead, and where needed, with the FIFA Audit, Risk & Advisory subdivision.
- Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor appropriate local insurance solutions (Personal, Property Damage, Business Interruption, Marine Cargo & Liability insurances) for all FWWC 2027 entities.
- Advise and monitor insurance requirements for Host Cities, Stadium Owners, and Training Site Owners, ensuring timely implementation.
- Collaborate with Legal and Procurement teams to ensure all contracts with sponsors, suppliers, and contractors include adequate insurance clauses, indemnities, and warranties.
- Develop, implement, and monitor an insurance manual and claim administration policies for stakeholders.
- Manage claims (Personal, Property, Liability), recording, administering, and reporting them, and coordinating with the FIFA Lead Insurance, brokers, and insurers.
- Serve as the insurance interface for all internal and external stakeholders of FWWC 2027.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks, proposing countermeasures.
- Support the implementation of a local risk management program.
- Organize regular insurance surveys.
- Your ProfileMinimum 10 years' experience in insurance and risk management.
- Solid experience with the Brazilian insurance market and risk management, including contract drafting.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian insurance laws and standard practices.
- Familiarity with local market players and negotiation experience.
- Proven track record in risk management and insurance issue resolution, including understanding of deductible settings.
- Right to work in Brazil.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (spoken and written).
- Ability to relocate to Rio de Janeiro.
- Spanish and/or German skills are a plus.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
- Experience with planning software and online collaboration tools is a plus.
