  • Knowledge of accounting principles including IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with cross-functional and international teams.

About the job In this role, you will support all Google’s businesses organization in the Limited Access/Controlled Access (LACA) region, overseeing financial and regulatory compliance matters.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of controllership processes, including month-end close, Profit and Loss and Buy/Promote analysis, and reconciliation reviews, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting principles (e.g., International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and United States (US) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)) and tax compliance for Google companies in the region.
  • Participate in cross-functional business and governance projects, helping to map, implement, and maintain solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams such as corporate finance, tax, legal, and treasury to ensure new products are launched in compliance with local regulations. Gather business requirements and participate in user acceptance tests.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in finance-related processes and close gaps in control frameworks.
