Learn more about itTHE OPPORTUNITYWe are hiring a Staff Data Scientist to our Fraud Prevention team in Brazil!This team is responsible for identifying, preventing, and removing fraudulent actors from Wellhub. We work closely with all teams inside Wellhub to identify potential fraud vectors and the actions to take in order to prevent and/or remove these fraudulent actors.We are looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our team, where you will have the opportunity to study and apply fraud models over different behaviors and entities.YOUR IMPACT
- Build production systems that identify and remove fraudsters from Wellhub;
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning models, from ideation and prototyping to production deployment and monitoring;
- Help to prototype, implement and productionize new anti fraud solutions at scale;
- Ensure successful deliveries, and promote the long-term technical health of our journeys;
- Ensure a high bar on code quality standards, making sure the team are proud of their work;
- Apply technology best practices;
- Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production environment;

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent practical experience;
- You have experience as a data scientist delivering consistent results in a business setting;
- Knowledge of machine learning (supervised and unsupervised) algorithms and have hands-on experience implementing and prototyping them;
- A lifelong learner passionate about emerging technologies, with proficiency in Python and SQL;
- You have strong communication skills explaining technical concepts to different audiences;
- You care about driving business impact, data-driven development, and experimentation;
- Output-driven with experience working in scenarios with high uncertainty;
- Naturally curious, with a knack for team work;
- Proficient experience with fraud and anomaly detection models;
- Experience working with public clouds, especially AWS (Nice to have);
- English proficiency.
