- Manage and oversee the work of clinical field specialist team within a designated sales region in order to drive utilization of BU assigned products (e.g., Smart Recovery) in accordance with region sales objectives. Develop a robust talent development plan including managerial responsibilities for direct reports, performance management and development of employees; resource allocation and planning and career mentoring.
- Lead clinical implementation efforts with key region accounts in collaboration with leadership (e.g., Regional Director)
- Ensure effective hiring and onboarding of newly hired employees within the region
- Provide input to stakeholders (e.g., Clinical Training Manager) on training needs of FCS and capture/share best practices across regions
- Identify opportunities and lead the implementation of changes to drive improvements
- Other incidental duties: Support regional development of KOLs & speakers
Bachelor's Degree in related scientific (health care) field, related experience experience Required -
Experience as a Clinical Field Specialist in a related medical device company Required or Experience of management experience in a surgical/critical care clinical environment RequiredWhat else will help you:
- Demonstrated skill set to manage assigned team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations
- Extensive understanding of cardiovascular science and cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology relevant to Edwards Critical Care product line (required);
- Strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and our Edwards Critical Care product line
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to collaborate with others to drive achievement of objectives
- Demonstrated leadership progression within a field based clinical role and/or the nursing field
- Demonstrated understanding of the key drivers of the medical device and healthcare business environment
- Demonstrated ability to drive change
- Demonstrated ability to drive utilization of products which require physician behavior change
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems
- Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
